Helma Solidaire

Social

Helma International is a company that cares about the well-being of its staff. We are committed to providing our employees with a healthy and pleasant working environment. We also have a teleworking agreement to enable our employees to balance their private and professional lives.

To develop cohesion between the various divisions, but also to encourage creativity and personal expression, we have set up cross-functional projects, headed by four volunteer Happy Officers:

  • An internal newsletter to share and celebrate our successes,
  • Lunch & Learn to share our skills,
  • Helma Workspace to improve our working environment, and much more!

Helma is also a multicultural company committed to diversity and inclusion, both socially and professionally. More than 20 different origins and almost as many languages rub shoulders in our offices every day! Our employees with disabilities are provided with a position adapted by an ergonomist from the occupational medicine department. We also take on work-study students, some of whom join Helma at the end of their course; we use ESAT (Etablissements et Services d'Aide par le Travail) for our recycling activities.

We have also created the Helma Solidaire aid programme to contribute to our community’s actions. We support various associations or actions, such as the aid given to India during Covid-19, to Ukraine, or the Chat’ouille animal shelter.

Helma Green

Helma Green

Helma is committed every day to protect the planet and sustainable development through its environmental policy Helma Green. Every action counts! We have defined common objectives based on 5 major areas in order to reduce our environmental impact and change our practices:

  • Reducing our consumption of paper and office supplies by applying the "zero paper" principle as much as possible,
  • Increasing waste recycling: sorting paper, collecting used ink cartridges, etc.
  • Reducing our overall energy consumption (water, electricity, heating) and controlling our carbon footprint by favoring videoconferencing or public transport for our travel,
  • Raising the awareness of our teams to energy management by promoting the "3Rs" (reduce, reuse, recycle) and good habits,
  • Collaboration with suppliers who respect the environment, using recycled or eco-labeled materials.

Thanks to these virtuous actions, we obtained Ecovadis certification in 2015. Our sustained efforts over the last few years have enabled us to improve our certification to reach the "silver" qualification level.

Every day, we pursue our ecological commitment through the responsible digitalisation of our activities, in particular with our management platform which, by being hosted in France and the dematerialisation of our exchanges, enables us to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet a little more.
