ADVISORY Department
This question needs to be asked at an early stage in the project, as the implications may concern immigration, social and tax issues. Will the employee's presence create the risk of creating a permanent establishment? Is it possible to second the employee for social security purposes, or must the company (the employee's employer) be registered as a company not registered in the host country, and pay contributions there. Should you set up a "shadow payroll" or "portage payroll" solution?
We can carry out a complete analysis of the situation and provide you with detailed recommendations to help you make the right decision for your business.
IMMIGRATION Department
No, EU nationals can settle and work in France without a visa or residence permit. A valid identity card or passport is all you need. Your talent can apply for a residence permit if he or she wishes, but this is optional.
Your employee must submit a renewal application to the prefecture or sub-prefecture well in advance of the expiry date of their residence permit, to allow for processing times. On our digital platform, they will receive an alert reminding them that their residence permit is about to expire. We can help you with all the formalities with the prefecture.
RELOCATION Department
In most cases, yes. They need to put together a solid rental file and have a physical or moral guarantor. We inform you about the documents and guarantees you need to provide and help you put together your rental file to maximize your chances of getting an apartment.
Finding accommodation is complicated when a foreign employee arrives in a new country and does not have the documents required by landlords or rental agencies (pay slips, proof of residence, etc.). It is therefore often because of incomplete applications or the absence of a guarantor that an employee is unable to find accommodation. The wrong type of accommodation (too high a rent in relation to income) may also be to blame. Helma supports your talents in all aspects of their housing search.
A priori, yes, if it's a European account. In principle, rent payments and various direct debits (electricity, gas, Internet, etc.) can be made from such an account. However, each provider has its own policy and may refuse to debit a non-French account. Having an account with a national bank avoids this risk, which is why we help your employees open a bank account in France.
Of course we do. We know this is the number one concern of families, so we help them find the right school. The best schools have waiting lists and enrollment often begins a year in advance. Depending on the child's age, academic level, languages and activities, we guide them to the most appropriate school.
